It all started in 1887
Østerlandsk Thehus was founded by a mariner who had attended the English Queen Victoria's 50th anniversary in 1887. The English Admiralty had made a tea that made so great an impression on Søren Wilhelm Jacobsen. He brought the tea back with him to Copenhagen. Here he founded Østerlandsk 1889 Copenhagen, where the special Admiralty Tea is still one of the house's well-known and popular blends. Over the years, tea has been treasured not only by the citizens of Copenhagen but by customers from all over.
The blend consists of classic black teas from Darjeeling, Ceylon and Keemun.

Admiralty tea are made on classic black teas of the highest quality, and to achieve the most optimal taste, the infusion time of 3 min. and 100 degrees of hot water are important to observe.
